Congratulations to Kisenosato! He was promoted to Yokuzuna after winning the New Years Tournament. He is the first Japan-born wrestler to be promoted to Yokuzuna in 19 years. Sumo is more international than most people think. The other 3 active Yokuzuna are all from Mongolia, and of the current top 42 wrestlers, 15 were not born in Japan.
