First Japanese Sumo Champ in 10 Years

You probably think of Sumo as a Japanese only sport, but it's really an international sport and, up until this weekend, it's been dominated by Mongolian wrestlers for a decade. The 3 current highest ranking competitors, Yokozuna, are all Mongolian. This weekend was the first time in 10 years a Japanese wrestler won a tournament.  Kotoshogiku went 14-1 to win the Emperor's Cup at this year's New Year's Tournament. The video below is Day 11 when Kotoshogiku takes on Hakuhou, who is considered one of the best sumo wrestlers of all time.
